Job DescriptionABOUT THE JOB
- Gather, analyze, and clarify business and data requirements for reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
- Analyze data from multiple source systems and data layers to understand data flow, business logic, and data transformation.
- Perform data validation by cross-checking data, business rules, and metrics between IT, Data Analytics, and business teams.
- Use SQL to investigate data issues, recalculate metrics, validate data accuracy, and ensure consistency across data sources.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on data from Data Lake and other enterprise data sources.
- Translate business requirements and analytical needs into meaningful dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data visualizations.
- Work with Data Engineers and Data Platform teams to understand and validate data pipelines, data models, and transformation logic.
- Analyze data across raw and transformed layers, rather than relying only on pre-prepared datasets.
- Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps, and work with relevant teams to investigate and resolve them.
- Support UAT, production issue investigation, and enhancement of existing dashboards/reports.
- Take ownership of BI processes from requirement clarification, data validation, report development, testing, to delivery.
- Communicate findings and insights clearly to business stakeholders and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- From 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence, BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI in building dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data visualizations.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, data validation, metric calculation, and issue investigation.
- Experience working with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Platform, Data Integration, or other data-intensive projects.
- Good understanding of data flow, data models, ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and data quality.
- Experience validating data and business logic across multiple source systems or data layers.
- Good understanding of business requirements and ability to translate business needs into reporting and BI solutions.
- Experience working closely with Business stakeholders, Data Engineers, and QA.
- Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar modern data platforms is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ownership.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle ambiguous or evolving requirements.
