Summary of role: Analyzes the results of software, hardware, or interoperability testing. Determines level of assurance of developed capabilities based on test results. Determines scope, infrastructure, resources, and data sample size to ensure system requirements are adequately demonstrated. Validates specifications and requirements for testability. Analyzes the results of software, hardware or interoperability testing. Develops test plans to address specifications and requirements. Makes recommendations based on test results. Performs developmental testing on systems under development. Performs interoperability testing on systems exchanging electronic information with other systems. Performs operational testing, records and manages test data. Tests, evaluates, and verifies hardware and/or software to determine compliance with defined specifications and requirements. Follows organization and validation requirements. Conducts test events. Designs a data analysis structure (i.e., the types of data a test must generate and how to analyze that data). Determines the appropriate level of test rigor for a given system. Develops operations-based testing scenarios, supports systems integration testing. Evaluates test plans for applicability and completeness. Develops and conducts Test Readiness Reviews. Designs, develops, and documents overall program Test & Evaluation strategies and identifies Test & Evaluation infrastructure (people, ranges, tools, instrumentation) requirements. Manages test assets, test resources, and test personnel to ensure effective completion of test events. Collects, analyzes, verifies, and validates test data. Prepares Test & Evaluation plans and reports in accordance with JITC standards. Translates data and test results into evaluative conclusions. Able to read and write automated test procedures and scripts in a currently supported programming language (e.g., Java C++) and/or using common testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner, Selenium). Understands computer networking concepts and protocols, and networking security methodologies and risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the design and implementation of test procedures to determine if standards and criteria are not met.
- Recommends adjustments to the T & E process or detailed procedures if appropriate.
- Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conduct audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
- Relies on manual methods and automated test tools to execute tests, assessments and collect data.
- Inspects, tests, and measures data that is produced or consumed.
- Must be able to document, notify, brief, and discuss results.
- Records all initial findings and documents final test results in a designated formal report.
- Accounts for anomalies and errors found in testing, notifies customers and management, and may help analyze and/or correct problems.
- Technical writing in accordance with JITC standards, working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Science Based Test Design (SBTD) in T & E Approaches.
- Clearance: TS/SCI
- Recommended Certifications: Network+ or CMCC
- Education, Background, and Years of Experience: Requires 8 years of specialized and/or military experience
- Must have experience in one or all of the fields of Signal Intelligence, Electronic Intelligence and Geospatial Intelligence.
- Must also possess strong evaluation, report writing skills.
