Planners

The Planners are responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of LNG process facilities. This position develops detailed work plans, schedules preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinates resource requirements, and supports turnarounds and capital projects. The Maintenance Planner works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Contractors to optimize equipment reliability while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

This role requires advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Prometheus Scheduling, and Primavera P6 for maintenance planning, scheduling, reporting, and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed work packages for preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Create weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules.
• Plan labor, materials, tools, equipment, and contractor resources necessary to execute maintenance work.
• Review work requests and convert approved requests into executable work orders.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations to minimize production impacts and optimize equipment availability.
• Monitor schedule compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

SAP S/4HANA Administration

• Create, manage, and maintain work orders, maintenance plans, task lists, and equipment records in SAP S/4HANA.
• Maintain equipment master data, BOMs, spare parts lists, and maintenance histories.
• Ensure work orders are properly planned, costed, executed, and closed.
• Generate and analyze maintenance KPIs and reports using SAP.

Prometheus Scheduling

• Develop integrated maintenance schedules using Prometheus.
• Optimize workforce utilization and manpower allocation.
• Manage maintenance backlogs and track work execution performance.
• Support look-ahead planning and schedule forecasting activities.

Primavera P6 Planning

• Develop detailed schedules for outages, turnarounds, and major maintenance projects.
• Perform critical path analysis and resource loading.
• Monitor project progress and provide schedule performance reporting.
• Coordinate schedule updates with project teams, maintenance supervisors, and contractors.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Support reliability improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data.
• Assist with root cause failure investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend maintenance strategy improvements.
• Utilize maintenance metrics to drive reliability improvements and reduce downtime.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure maintenance plans comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with OSHA, PHMSA, EPA, and applicable industry regulations.
• Verify required permits, procedures, and safety documentation are included in work packages.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, and site inspections.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Degree, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of maintenance planning, scheduling, maintenance execution, or reliability experience in LNG, natural gas, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, or heavy industrial facilities.
• Experience supporting large-scale maintenance outages and turnarounds preferred.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency with SAP S/4HANA Maintenance Management modules.
• Strong experience using Prometheus Scheduling Software.
• Strong experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and work management processes.
• Experience developing job plans, estimating labor requirements, and coordinating contractor resources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
