Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or relevant experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data analysis or related disciplines
Travel: 10%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance
- Execute enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Promote data literacy and foster a data centric culture across the organization
- Ensure assigned data domains comply with governance standards
- Advocate change management efforts related to data governance adoption and tool implementation
- Develop and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs
- Identify data quality issues and coordinate remediation activities
- Analyze root causes of data defects
- Partner will data owners and data stewards to define business validation rules
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain business glossary terms
- Create and maintain business definitions
- Document data lineage with technical teams
- Maintain metadata within the enterprise data catalog
- Ensure metadata remains current and accurate.
- Define and maintain master data standards
- Review master data creation and change requests
- Assist with duplicate record identification and resolution
- Ensure consistency across systems
- Participate in MDM implementation initiatives
- Support survivorship and matching rule definitions
- Support Data Owners and Data Stewards in business metadata within the data catalog
- Classify data assets
- Support catalog adoption throughout the organization
- Collaborate with technical stewards to improve metadata quality
- Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards to establish accountability
- Assist business areas in identifying critical data elements
- Recommend improvements to business processes affecting data
- Coordinate business decisions regarding data standards
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection processes
- Recommend process enhancements
- Eliminate redundant data collection
- Improve data capture at the source
- Reduce manual work through standardization
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
