A leading company in the logistics sector is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its international Finance team.
The role
The Financial Analyst will support the financial management of a regional portfolio of countries, working closely with the Regional CFO, local finance teams and operational stakeholders. The role combines reporting, planning and performance analysis with a strong business-partnering approach, turning financial and operational data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
Key Responsabilities
- Collect, validate and consolidate financial information from the countries within the assigned region, ensuring accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting.
- Prepare management presentations, country reviews and decision-support analyses for the Regional CFO and senior management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning, identifying trends, risks and deviations from plan.
- Analyse working capital, revenue, costs, margins and productivity, recommending actions to improve financial performance and cash generation.
- Perform variance and cost-control analysis, investigate root causes and follow up on agreed corrective actions with local stakeholders.
- Monitor foreign-exchange exposure and assess its impact on regional results.
- Lead ad hoc analyses and contribute to improvements in dashboards, reporting tools and cross-regional finance processes.
Candidate profile
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business controlling, finance business partnering, audit or a comparable finance role.
- Previous experience in the logistics sector, ideally within an international and operationally complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, cost control and management reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, good knowledge of Power BI and experience with SAP or another leading ERP; familiarity with SQL, Python or VBA is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions, communicate clearly and work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Fluent English is essential; knowledge of an additional language such as French, Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese is a plus
