Senior Business Analyst w German

At adesso & Analytics, you help our clients become more -driven by building pipelines and converting the raw, unstructured into formats that help other professionals, such as scientists and analysts, analyze. This work includes creating and maintaining an infrastructure that automates the building of analytics and machine learning models. Our clients consist of medium and large organizations.

Tasks/responsibilities

• Analysis and recording of technical requirements in the BI and data environment
• Translation of technical requirements into technical specifications for BI and DWH teams
• Defining and documenting KPIs, key performance indicator systems, and reporting requirements
• Validating data and results using SQL analyses (data checks, plausibility checks)
• Assisting in the design of data models (technical-logical level)
• Coordination with Power BI developers, data engineers, and specialist departments
• Creation of technical concepts, data requirement documents, and user stories
• Support in ensuring data quality and governance

Must-have criteria (technical/specialized)

• Several years of experience as a business analyst in the BI/data environment
• Very good understanding of BI processes, key performance indicator systems, and reporting structures
• Good knowledge of SQL for data analysis and result validation
• Basic understanding of data models and data flows (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema)
• Experience working with Power BI at the user/analysis level (e.g., reading, checking, interpreting reports)
• Experience working with technical roles (data engineer, BI developer)
• Experience in requirements analysis and stakeholder communication
• Experience in agile projects (Scrum/Kanban)

Nice-to-have criteria

• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or Exasol
• Basic knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
• Knowledge of reporting standards (e.g., IBCS)
• Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
• Basic understanding of cloud architectures
• Experience in regulatory or business reporting environments
