Purpose of Role

As a Data Analyst, you will provide analytical support aligned with business needs, transforming data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making. You will work across multiple business areas, helping stakeholders understand performance, identify opportunities and improve outcomes through data-driven analysis.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end data analysis independently, from understanding the business question through to presenting insights and recommendations.
  • Translate business requirements into clear analytical questions, datasets, and actionable insights
  • Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for business and client stakeholders.
  • Develop clear data visualisations and communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Automate recurring reporting and analytical processes where appropriate.
  • Work with large and complex datasets and investigate data discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, consultants, product owners, business stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Provide recommendations based on analysis and explain the potential business impact of findings.
  • Manage multiple analytical requests and prioritise deliverables according to business needs.
  • Follow GDPR and responsible data-handling principles when working with sensitive or business-critical information.
  • Contribute to improving reporting processes, data quality, and analytical methodologies.
  • Use Python for basic to intermediate data analysis or automation where required.


Skills, Qualfications & Abilities

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
  • SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Good practical experience with Power BI, including dashboards, reports, visualisations and basic data modelling concepts.
  • Strong data validation and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to analyse datasets independently and identify meaningful trends, patterns and anomalies.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights.
  • Experience with reporting and process automation.
  • Intermediate Python skills, particularly for data analysis or automation.
  • Understanding of ETL/data pipelines and how analytical data is produced, without necessarily requiring hands-on data engineering experience.
  • Basic understanding of data modelling concepts.
  • Good understanding of data quality, governance, GDPR and responsible data handling.
  • Degree in relevant discipline (Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
