Supply Management Planner

Location: Dubuque, IA

Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite | 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Contract Duration: 1-year, with possible extension - W2

Overtime: May be required based on business needs

Pay: $23/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Supply Management Planner to support manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely delivery of materials needed to maintain production schedules. This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, supply management teams, and internal stakeholders to proactively address supply concerns, resolve delivery issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and material requirements.
  • Lead supplier meetings to review delinquent orders and establish recovery plans.
  • Monitor supplier performance and collaborate on corrective actions to improve quality and delivery results.
  • Analyze and resolve past-due orders while proactively communicating supply risks and constraints.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to minimize production disruptions.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, and invoice-related issues to ensure timely supplier payments.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing to improve processes and address supply challenges.
  • Maintain accurate delivery plans to ensure production requirements are consistently met.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain and supplier network.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Technology, Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in supply management, procurement, purchasing, supplier coordination, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, material flow, supplier development, or operations environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance metrics.
