Data Analyst

Role Overview

As a Data Analyst - Trade Finance Support, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of transport, commodity, and inventory data across the supply chain. You will work closely with Operations, Trade Finance, and IT teams to analyze business data, identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support process optimization initiatives. Your expertise in reporting, data visualization, and analysis will contribute to improved decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile and validate transport, commodity, and inventory data to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems and records.
• Verify shipment details against supporting documentation, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and manage reporting documentation, ensuring accurate, consistent, and accessible data for operational and business reporting.
• Perform ongoing analysis of supply chain and trade finance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data models that provide clear, actionable insights aligned with business and client requirements.
• Organize, cleanse, and manage large datasets, ensuring information remains accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for stakeholders.
• Support operational teams by delivering data-driven recommendations and technical solutions that improve workflows, efficiency, and process performance.
• Design and implement data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate complex information and support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop, test, and enhance databases, reporting tools, and data management processes.
• Provide analytical support to key stakeholders by delivering detailed reporting, performance analysis, and recommendations to optimize supply chain and trade finance operations.
• Monitor data quality standards and implement controls to ensure consistency, compliance, and accuracy across reporting processes.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and recommending enhancements to reporting and operational procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Data Analysis, Supply Chain Analytics, Logistics Operations, Trade Support, or a similar analytical role.
• Experience within logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, commodity trading, or trading house environments will be bonus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including freight forwarders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and managing day-to-day data-related activities.
• Tech-savvy, analytical, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
• Basic knowledge of Python for data analysis or process automation.
• Exposure to CRM systems.
• Understanding of supply chain, logistics, transportation, inventory, or commodity trading processes.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
