Economic Research Analyst

Job Purpose

Support economists with data collection and analysis and help in preparing reports and presentations across a range of subject areas. Pursue training to broaden and develop skillset to progress to more advanced level analysis.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Collect data, monitor news and trends in economic, financial, and banking sector developments in Kuwait and/or main overseas economies.
• Learn to critically analyze data and provide simple, accurate write-ups to be used by other economists or in department publications.
• Prepare presentations/reports, including for other economists/senior economists.
• Respond to any requests that come from the economic team and Chief Economist.
• Through thorough training, develop knowledge and understanding of economic concepts and analysis relevant to the department’s work areas.
• Build core skills of data analysis and manipulation and being able to write in a clear and concise manner.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• University degree in Economics or Finance, preferably master's degree
