Financial Analyst

Location: Thessaloniki, Greece

Duration: Full time contract

Position Summary

As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Group’s financial planning, reporting and performance analysis activities. Working closely with the CFO and the Finance team, you will contribute to the preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts, while gaining exposure to the financial and operational performance of our hotels.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional at an early stage of their career who is looking to develop strong analytical skills, gain hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis and build a broader understanding of the hospitality business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly and annual financial and business reports
• Assist in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial and operational data recorded in the ERP and other business systems
• Assist in the analysis of historical financial and operational data and identify key trends, variances and performance drivers
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasts
• Support the annual budgeting process across all hotels of the Group, including data collection, consolidation and analysis
• Assist in monitoring actual performance against budget and forecast and support the preparation of variance analysis
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of the monthly Business Reporting Package, including Profit & Loss statements vs. Budget, expense reports, payroll reports and other key performance indicators
• Support the monitoring of key financial and operational KPIs and provide hotel management teams with relevant financial information
• Support the CFO and Finance team in the preparation and analysis of financial information for business decision-making
• Work with hotel management teams to better understand business performance and contribute to identifying areas for improvement
• Assist in the preparation of business plans, financial models and feasibility studies for potential investments and new business opportunities
• Support the Finance team in monitoring the Group’s overall financial performance and identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding financial information, business performance and investment decisions

Qualifications / Personal characteristics:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, financial analysis, accounting, controlling or a similar role, experience in the hospitality industry will be considered an advantage
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with an interest in interpreting financial and operational data
• Advanced Excel skills and strong computer literacy, with the ability to work effectively with financial and analytical tools
• Good understanding of ERP systems and financial reporting processes
• Basic understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports and presentations, including charts and management summaries
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, curious and solution-oriented approach, with a genuine interest in understanding the business behind the numbers
