Our client a leading national healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join their Medical Management and Risk Adjustment division. This role is essential for transforming complex Medicare Advantage and Medicaid requirements into high performing technical solutions. The successful candidate will lead the development of production ready tools focused on Encounter Risk Adjustment prioritization and chart processing. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical execution by translating high level requirements into sophisticated code and system designs. A major component of this role involves modernizing legacy workflows from SAS into scalable Snowflake architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Translate Medicare and Medicaid business needs into technical specifications and system designs.
Design and maintain multi user database solutions by integrating diverse healthcare datasets including claims enrollment pharmacy and clinical records.
Automate data processing workflows to improve system efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead the migration of legacy SAS ETL processes into Snowflake using Snowpark Python and Snowflake SQL.
Implement data quality and reconciliation frameworks to meet CMS audit and state submission standards.
Develop modular code libraries and reusable data assets to streamline operations for actuarial and data teams.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff while resolving complex system issues.
Conduct ad hoc data analysis and research the financial implications of process changes or data discrepancies.
Collaborate with IT and vendor teams to ensure project milestones are met and technical designs are approved.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related technical or analytical field.
Significant experience in technical data analysis including system design and project planning.
Advanced proficiency in SAS and SQL.
Practical experience with Snowflake including modernization efforts and pipeline orchestration.
Background in the healthcare industry specifically working with Risk Adjustment or Encounter data.
Ability to mediate between different department demands to reach a consensus on system scope.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Mathematics Computer Science or a similar field.
Direct experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in Snowpark Python or ASP.NET.
Professional certifications such as SAS Certified Professional or SnowPro.
Salary and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is 87,700 to 157,800 depending on experience and education.
