Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Academics, the Institutional Effectiveness Reports Manager will contribute to projects led by members of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Academics and the Office of the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer.
Projects include reports and data collection related to requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), legislation and policy including House Bill 8, and others. The Manager will contribute to these efforts through collecting information for reporting, synthesizing information for reporting, proofreading completed reports, and reviewing reports for accuracy.
The Manager must be exceedingly well organized and flexible. The individual must be able to make and execute plans with keen attention to detail, accuracy, and timing.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Exceptional written communication skills including experience proofreading or editing.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to write reports and professional correspondence.
Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective working independently.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office platforms, Adobe Acrobat, and browser-based collaboration and document management platforms like SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Experience with compliance, curriculum, and/or assessment in higher education.

Review reports and documents for grammatical correctness.

Review proposed curriculum changes for completeness and correctness according to THECB and SACSCOC requirements.
Prepare THECB curriculum change submissions.
Coordinate development of the Del Mar College Catalog and Student Handbook.
Proofread materials in the annual publication of the Del Mar College Catalog and Student Handbook.
Job Duty
Support all SACSCOC compliance reporting requirements through serving on related committees, collecting and organizing materials and artifacts, and proofreading and editing completed narratives.
Job Duty
Supervise special projects, serve on committees, and conduct presentations.
Serve as local administrator for software packages including Nuventive Improvement Platform and curriculum management software.
Job Duty
Other duties as deemed appropriate by supervisor.
