Division Overview
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. - We offer competitive salary $105,000.00 to $125,000.00
- *Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level*
Responsibilities and accountabilities for this Manager role include but are not restricted to the following areas:
- Assist in developing Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data
- Interact with production and sales personnel to update and advise of progress and new developments.
- Manage volume and manufacturing location changes between factories as needed to meet customer requirements
- Monitor inventories of raw material, work in process, and finished good in an effort to minimize costs and achieve Division inventory goals
- Oversee development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability for the Division
- Train and audit plant personnel for compliance in department standards and practices
- Assure inside sales and plants utilize the system through on-site auditing and clear tracking metrics
- Maintain accurate needs attention and obsolete inventory and implement measures for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement through training, tool development, and strategic planning
- BS degree in business, logistics, management or related area
- 5+ years of experience in a production planning/logistics/materials handling role
- Certificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired
- Knowledge of AS400 operating systems is a plus
- Experience in manufacturing, operational, and customer driven environments
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Excel, Access and Word
- Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion
- Capable of managing changing business needs and requirements
- Proven record of applied critical thinking in a variety of situations, and taking calculated initiative to drive improvements
- Effective oral and written communications
- Demonstrated project management, time management and organizational skills
