What You’ll Do
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet guest demand while minimizing carrying costs. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Analyze demand patterns, market trends, and historical data to forecast future inventory needs.
- Collaborate with procurement, merchandising, space planning, operations, Distribution Center Management, IT, and logistics teams to streamline supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with Demand Planners on inventory strategies incorporating demand forecasts as guidance.
- Identify and address inventory expiration, discrepancies, shortages, or excesses promptly. Escalate to Senior Inventory Analyst for additional guidance as needed.
- Use data analysis tools in Relex to generate reports and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- In conjunction with Asset Protection team, develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements in inventory management.
- Plan distribution center inventory supply levels to support stores sales through purchase order management and leveraging replenishment/allocation tools to optimize inventory flow from multiple vendors.
- SKU-level item life-cycle maintenance to include cost changes, product status, and pack size updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation
Starting pay range: $55,500 - $72,900. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of related work experience or prior internship.
- Knowledge and understanding of Consumer-Packaged Goods and Food Service Products inventory management methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of data processing tools and techniques, with the ability to analyze impact using reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate actionable insights from an analysis.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in negotiation, and collaborative communication with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure adequate and timely response to Casey's purchasing needs and to ensure acceptable prices.
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft office products, with advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control methods, terminology related to procurement and transportation logistics, including stocking, shipment, and delivery of items.
- Familiarity with standard Purchase Order structure and Inventory Management fundamentals, recognizing key inventory metrics and formulas such as Economic Order Quantity, Days of Supply, and Safety Stock.
- Experience with RELEX or similar supply chain planning platform (e.g. Blue Yonder, SAP, IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle) to support demand forecasting, inventory planning, or replenishment strongly preferred.
