The Analyst, Energy Strategy & Operations supports the operating rhythm of QTS’ Energy Strategy organization — helping turn leadership’s priorities into disciplined plans and clear, measurable reporting. Reporting to the Director, Energy Strategy & Operations, the Analyst maintains the OKR/KPI trackers, prepares business-review and leadership materials, organizes and validates source data, and coordinates the logistics of the planning cadence so the most important work stays sequenced, on track, and transparently reported in a rapidly scaling environment.
What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities)
Operating Cadence & Planning Support
- Help run the operating cadence — planning cycles, business reviews, and monthly/quarterly performance check-ins — and keep them on schedule.
- Prepare agendas, pre-reads, and materials; capture decisions, actions, and follow-ups and track them to closure.
- Maintain OKR and KPI trackers and dashboards; collect status inputs from workstream owners and keep them current.
- Flag slipping items, risks, and dependencies early so they can be addressed.
- Build and update business-review decks, strategy updates, and standard reporting for a consistent, accurate leadership reporting layer.
- Translate inputs into clear visualizations and summaries for planning, forecasting, and executive presentations.
- Gather, organize, validate, and normalize data from cross-functional teams; support data quality and version control.
- Build models and analyses that support energy strategy, capital planning, and cost/benchmarking decisions.
- Track initiative intake, status, risks, and dependencies across the Energy portfolio and keep trackers current.
- Partner with Energy Strategy, Analytics, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Development teams to collect inputs and align on timelines.
- Help improve planning tools, templates, and processes to increase speed, transparency, and accountability.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, business operations, program coordination, strategy support, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize data and build clear, executive-ready materials.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience supporting OKRs/KPIs, business reviews, or planning cadences.
- Power BI or similar data-visualization / BI tools.
- Exposure to energy, utilities, power, infrastructure, or large-scale data center / service-provider environments.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment.
