Business Analyst - Data Analyst
We're looking for a Business/Data Analyst who can combine strong data skills with technical problem-solving, working closely with both business and technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports (Power Query, DAX, data modeling)
- Write SQL queries to analyze, validate, and integrate data
- Support business decisions through data and operational analysis
- Build scripts, tools, and automations using Python, JavaScript, SQL, and APIs
- Test systems and validate data quality (QA)
- Spot opportunities to improve data, reporting, and processes
- Maintain existing dashboards, integrations, and automation tools
- Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, GIS staff, and other stakeholders
- Document technical work and support training/knowledge-sharing
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in data analysis, systems analysis, BI, or application support
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, and relational databases
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or APIs
- Strong communication skills — able to work with both technical and non-technical people
Nice to Have
- Accela Civic Platform experience
- Background with local government planning/permitting/licensing systems
- Agile experience
- Familiarity with Jira, SSMS, SharePoint, Teams, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
