Senior Finance Analyst - Power BI - ASX Healthcare

The Company

Our client is one of Australia’s largest private healthcare providers, operating an extensive national network of hospitals, surgical facilities, clinics and allied care services, and is currently undertaking a multi-year transformation program designed to strengthen financial performance, sharpen decision-making and support the sustainable delivery of care across its national portfolio.

The Role

Reporting to the GM Commercial Performance, this hands-on role provides analytical, reporting and decision-support capability across a large commercial portfolio, with the ability to build and maintain interactive Power BI reports central to the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and automate interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI, based on key operational and financial metrics.
• Analyse financial performance drivers, including revenue, margin, cost and labour, and provide clear variance commentary and insight.
• Support budgeting and re-forecasting cycles by consolidating inputs, validating assumptions and highlighting issues.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support business cases and investment decisions.
• Support data integrity by validating inputs, reconciling discrepancies and escalating issues early.
• Maintain consistent definitions, reporting logic and calculation methodology to improve comparability across sites.
• Partner with operational teams, head office functions and corporate finance (including Technology and FP&A) to resolve reporting issues and improve the quality and timeliness of inputs.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Advanced, hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI is essential to this role.
• Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insight for non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare or another complex, multi-site environment is desirable but not essential.
