Position Summary

Responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of data quality controls, reconciliation activities, operational reporting, and the investigation of data issues impacting batch runs on a Strategic Full Revaluation VaR platform. This role ensures the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of reporting risk data across batch runs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute data quality validation checks for daily batch-processing cycles.
  • Run risk reporting scripts and generate operational, control, and management reports.
  • Perform reconciliations between upstream, downstream, and reporting systems.
  • Investigate front-office valuation data quality exceptions, reconciliation breaks, and unexplained variances.
  • Analyse trends and identify recurring data issues requiring remediation.
  • Partner with front-office and risk Business, Technology, Data Engineering, and Production Support teams to resolve defects.
  • Validate fixes and support UAT and production implementation activities.
  • Build and maintain manual and automated data quality reporting processes.
  • Document findings, root causes, and remediation recommendations.
  • Support regulatory, risk, and audit-related reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong data analysis and investigative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience performing data reconciliation and data quality analysis.
  • Experience within Market Risk, Global Markets, FRTB, VaR, SVaR, CCR, or P&L reporting environments.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex data analysis.
  • Ability to interpret large datasets and identify anomalies.
  • Experience producing operational or management reports.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Python and the automation of reporting processes.
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Familiarity with Splunk and production-support tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and risk-reporting processes.
