Business Analyst

Chicago, IL | Hybrid Schedule (4 Days Onsite)


A privately held services organization is adding a newly created Business Analyst to support pricing strategy, business analytics, and enterprise decision-making across a multi-site operating environment.


This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, data, and strategy. The individual hired will partner closely with leadership to evaluate profitability, uncover growth opportunities, enhance reporting capabilities, and influence key business decisions through actionable insights. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze pricing, profitability, margin, and performance trends to support revenue growth and operational initiatives
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, scorecards, and business intelligence tools
  • Build financial and analytical models to evaluate pricing actions, promotions, investments, and strategic initiatives
  • Assess customer, market, operational, and competitive data to identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop recommendations that support revenue, profitability, and market share objectives
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives and recommend adjustments when needed
  • Extract, validate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership to support decision-making
  • Utilize AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve reporting efficiency and business insight generation
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and data management processes
  • Support strategic projects and ad hoc analyses as business needs evolve


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in business analytics, pricing, financial analysis, revenue management, FP&A, or a related field
  • Strong Excel skills including PivotTables, lookups, and analytical modeling
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build productive cross-functional relationships
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools strongly preferred
  • Experience using AI, automation tools, SQL, Python, R, or related technologies is a plus
  • Experience supporting multi-location, consumer-facing, hospitality, service, transportation, or real estate-related businesses is helpful but not required

  • Base salary of $80,000-$100,000
