Position Overview

The position supports the measurement and forecasting of risk for equipment finance portfolio s , both retail and wholesale . I ndependently performs advanced quantitative analyses . Leads projects to develop models, analyses, and reports that measure credit, residual value, and portfolio risk. P rovides thought leadership on analytical approaches and mentors junior analysts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyze portfolio trends, risk concentrations, and emerging risks. Work with large datasets related to leases, loans, collateral values, and customer performance.
  • Develop credit, residual value, and/or portfolio risk models and interpret outputs. Lead model documentation, testing, and model governance activities.
  • Contribute to a team that reviews and challenges business-leader decisions that influence portfolio composition and risk.
  • Design and execute stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Lead the automation of risk reports and dashboards.
  • Mentor and review work performed by Analysts.

Qualifications/Competencies

  • Master’s degree in financial engineering, statistics, mathematics, engineering, econometrics, or a related field . Bachelor’s degree is acceptable with compensatory experience.
  • 3–5 years of quantitative, analytics, or risk experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL or Python.
  • Solid understanding of leasing, asset finance, or secured lending concepts.
  • Ability to present complex analyses to non-technical audiences.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week (35-hour for Canada) but may vary to meet business needs.

Physical Demands

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
  • Body motor skills sufficient to move from one office location to another

The position is exempt and the salary will be between $110,000 and $135,000 with an opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus.

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
