Project Highlights
- Contribute to Tableau Report Enhancements by identifying opportunities to improve reporting, visualization, and accessibility of market intelligence.
- Analyze historical Urner Barry market index data to identify seasonal trends, market patterns, and relationships between key indices that improve market predictability.
- Support Sales Innovation initiatives by developing data-driven insights, forecasting tools, and analytical models that enhance strategic decision-making.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that transform complex market data into actionable business insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to Sales leadership to support pricing strategies, market planning, and future business growth.
- Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university (Pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Poultry Science, or a related field preferred).
- Valid Driver's license.
- Must pass the Mountaire Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel; including data analysis, formulas, pivot table, and reporting functions.
- Strong aptitude for working with numbers and analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize, interpret, and present complex information accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated team player with an interest in market analysis, forecasting, and continuous improvement.
- Complete assigned project identified by department mentor
- Attend weekly seminar series across different Mountaire facilities
- All interns must be available to travel to Delaware during the last week of the program for final presentations (August 2 - 6, 2027)
- All interns are required to complete a 10-minute presentation on their project at the conclusion of summer. Presentations will take place in Millsboro, DE at the Administrative Building during the week of August 2-6.
- All interns must complete a mid-way evaluation (week 5) along with a final evaluation (week 10)
- Anticipated weekly schedule is M-F, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
