- Support the quarterly financial reporting process, including consolidation activities, lead sheet preparation, and journal entry review.
- Prepare and analyze complex accounting calculations and entries, including decommissioning liabilities, depletion, foreign exchange, and stock-based compensation.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A).
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, along with internal financial analyses and reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reporting packages, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Provide accounting and financial support to the finance team, including data collection, analysis, and financial modeling.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- CPA designation with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably with exploration and production (E&P) companies.
- Experience supporting financial reporting for publicly traded Canadian organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
