A well-established and highly rated property & casualty insurance organization is seeking a Reserving Actuarial Analyst to join its Corporate Actuarial team. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the quarterly and annual reserve review process while contributing to reserving methodology enhancements, process improvements, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support quarterly and annual reserve analyses using accepted P&C actuarial reserving techniques and methodologies.
- Analyze loss and claims data to estimate unpaid claim liabilities across multiple lines of business.
- Extract, validate, and maintain actuarial data used for reserve studies and reporting.
- Develop and enhance reserving tools, reporting processes, and documentation.
- Prepare reserve summaries and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Assist with reinsurance reporting requirements and maintain ongoing reinsurance data management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, data quality, and actuarial workflows.
- Support ongoing initiatives related to reserving process automation and analytics enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Approximately 3+ years of actuarial experience within the property & casualty insurance industry preferred.
- Progress toward CAS credentials, including completion of multiple actuarial exams.
- Strong understanding of P&C reserving concepts and insurance products.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools preferred.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, ResQ, or similar analytical tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
