Pay Range: RON 10,000–11,000 net/month, based on experience and final level assessment.

About the role

Adore Me is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Engineering team in Bucharest.

This role is suited to someone with approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience who is ready to move beyond executing predefined tasks and take ownership of data models, pipelines and projects from end to end.

You will work at the intersection of business and technology, helping shape the data models, metrics and standards used across the company. Your work will make data more reliable, easier to understand and more useful for analysts and business teams.

The Analytics Engineering team does not primarily build dashboards. Instead, it creates the data models, semantic definitions and technical foundations that enable other teams to analyze information confidently and consistently.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, improving data quality and building scalable solutions that make life easier for data users.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, test, and maintain SQL data pipelines and data models.
• Take ownership of data pipelines and models from initial requirements through implementation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Build and govern our semantic layer in BigQuery.
• Implement business metrics and definitions using LookML in Looker.
• Improve the structure, consistency and usability of data made available to business teams.
• Identify, investigate and resolve data-quality issues before they affect reporting or decision-making.
• Support the development and improvement of data models used for financial and operational reporting.
• Optimise SQL queries and cloud-resource usage to improve performance and control costs.
• Document and catalogue datasets, metrics, dependencies and data processes.
• Coordinate table migrations, including dependency mapping, stakeholder communication and implementation timelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues by reviewing logs, pipelines and data dependencies.
• Work closely with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Help define and improve data processes, policies, and best practices.
• Train and support business users in working with data and visualisation tools.
• Manage analytics projects from problem definition through delivery using structured planning and problem-solving approaches.
• Give and receive constructive feedback and contribute to the team’s continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, data modelling, data warehousing, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL skills, including Common Table Expressions, window functions, and stored procedures or procedural SQL.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ETL or ELT processes and tools.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud data platform. GCP is preferred, but experience with AWS, Azure, Snowflake is also relevant.
• Experience with BI and data-visualisation tools.
• Experience with version control.
• Familiarity with dbt or a similar data-transformation framework.
• Strong data-debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting finance-related data models or financial reporting.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economic Cybernetics, Engineering or a related field.

Compensation and benefits

Salary range: RON 10000 - 11000 net per month, depending on experience and final level assessment.
