This is a role for someone who enjoys solving commercial problems, not just improving conversion rates.

You'll work with established eCommerce brands to uncover opportunities, shape experimentation strategies and make commercially grounded decisions backed by data. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, challenge conventional thinking and take ownership of client outcomes, not simply produce audits and recommendations.

Why join Proof3?

This isn’t an agency where you’ll inherit 25 accounts and spend your days tweaking bids.

You’ll work with a small portfolio of ambitious eCommerce brands, supported by specialist CRO, SEO and Data experts that help improve performance rather than simply report on it.

You’ll be trusted to shape strategy, challenge clients constructively and focus on what actually matters: profitable growth, not vanity metrics.

We care far more about commercial outcomes than platform metrics. If you enjoy solving business problems, testing new ideas and working with people who value evidence over opinion, you’ll fit right in.

How we approach CRO

At Proof3, we don't see CRO as simply running A/B tests or chasing higher conversion rates.

We combine analytics, customer research, UX and experimentation to help clients make better commercial decisions. Sometimes that means validating a redesign. Sometimes it means proving an assumption wrong. Sometimes it means deciding not to test something because the evidence points elsewhere.

Our approach starts with understanding customer behaviour and identifying the biggest opportunities, not jumping straight into experimentation.

Every recommendation is backed by data, every test has a clear hypothesis, and every outcome should contribute to a deeper understanding of what drives profitable growth.

We measure success by commercial impact, not the number of tests we've run.

What you’ll be doing
  • Own CRO strategy across a portfolio of multi-million pound eCommerce clients
  • Develop clear experimentation roadmaps aligned to commercial objectives and client growth targets
  • Identify opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis using GA4, heatmaps, session recordings, surveys and customer research
  • Conduct heuristic reviews to uncover UX, content and customer journey improvements
  • Design robust hypotheses with clear success metrics and measurable commercial impact
  • Plan, prioritise and manage A/B testing programmes from ideation through to deployment and analysis
  • Work closely with designers and developers to ensure tests are implemented accurately and efficiently
  • Analyse experiment results and translate findings into clear recommendations and future opportunities
  • Look beyond conversion rate, considering profitability, customer behaviour, average order value and lifetime value where appropriate
  • Present insights, recommendations and experimentation strategies confidently to clients, acting as a trusted partner rather than simply reporting results
  • Work closely with Paid Media, SEO and Data teams to ensure acquisition, user experience and measurement work together to maximise performance
  • Identify opportunities to expand experimentation programmes and demonstrate the commercial value of CRO across client accounts
  • Stay ahead of developments in experimentation, behavioural science, AI and eCommerce best practice, applying new ideas pragmatically
What you’ll bring
  • 2+ years' experience delivering CRO or experimentation programmes for eCommerce brands, ideally agency-side
  • A proven track record of improving commercial performance through experimentation, UX improvements and data-driven decision making
  • Hands-on experience using experimentation platforms such as VWO, Convert, Optimizely or similar
  • Experience using qualitative research tools including heatmaps, session recordings, surveys and user feedback platforms
  • Comfortable analysing data to identify meaningful opportunities rather than relying on assumptions
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys, UX principles and online buying behaviour
  • Commercial awareness - you understand revenue, margin and profitability, not just conversion rate
  • Confident communicator able to explain complex findings clearly and challenge clients constructively
  • Proactive, organised and accountable - you take ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing tasks
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger commercial picture
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change
Bonus points
  • Experience running experimentation programmes for Adobe Commerce/Magento or Shopify retailers
  • Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager, with a solid understanding of analytics implementation and data quality
  • Experience working closely with Paid Media and SEO teams to optimise the full customer acquisition journey
  • Experience with behavioural psychology or persuasive design principles
  • CRO, UX or analytics certifications
Perks of the job
  • Competitive salary and career progression
  • 30 days holiday (inclusive of public holidays)
  • Flexible working arrangements including remote working
  • Company pension scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • Bonus incentive scheme
  • Childcare and eye care vouchers
  • Regular appraisals and personal development plans
  • Events and conferences attendance actively encouraged
