Shape how Boots invests in its store workforce. Based at our Nottingham Support Office, this role uses workforce insight, payroll modelling and cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity, control costs and support a great customer experience across Boots UK and ROI stores.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Workforce Operations, you will bring together workforce plans across Boots UK and ROI stores and turn complex payroll data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Role
This is an individual contributor role with significant exposure to senior leaders across Operations, HR and Finance. In this role, you will:
- Lead strategic workforce optimisation across the stores estate, balancing cost, productivity and customer experience.
- Bring together workforce plans from HR and business units to create a joined-up view of investment and opportunity.
- Identify opportunities through shape of investment, recruitment plans and payroll spend.
- Support and validate business cases, salary models and payroll savings with the Workforce Planning Manager.
- Create clear reporting and analysis from resource model inputs, including accurate monthly productivity reporting and commentary.
- Improve resource model processes and accuracy through continuous improvement, lean thinking and simplification.
- Support the maintenance and development of workforce tools used by stores, with occasional store visits.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to develop, test and evidence hypotheses.
- Ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely to senior and non-technical audiences.
- Experience of working across functions and managing a broad network of stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Practical experience of process improvement, simplification or lean ways of working.
- Experience of workforce planning, workforce optimisation, payroll modelling or a closely related analytical role
- Knowledge of Boots UK and ROI store structures, operating models or workforce processes.
- Experience of retail workforce investment, store payroll or business case governance.
- Experience using labour planning and productivity tools.
- Understanding of people models, shape of investment and store recruitment planning.
