Help shape the future of healthcare finance

At Medichecks, we launched the UK’s first direct-to-consumer blood testing service and created a market where none existed. Today, we’re growing rapidly across both our consumer business and our healthcare technology platform, Plasma, which is opening exciting opportunities in B2B and B2B2C healthcare.

Our vision is simple: to be part of everyone’s journey to better health.

We’re looking for a Finance Systems & Reporting Lead to play a pivotal role in strengthening the systems, reporting, controls and data that underpin our finance function and support the next stage of our growth.

Why this role is different

This isn’t a traditional finance management role.

It’s ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys finance systems, data, reporting and process improvement. You’ll become the finance lead for Sage 200, reporting automation, forecasting models and financial controls, ensuring that the business has accurate, reliable and commercially meaningful financial information.

You’ll work closely with our Finance Director and collaborate across Finance, Technology and Operations to improve the way financial data flows through the business.

What you’ll be doing

Own and improve our finance systems

  • Become the finance owner and subject matter expert for Sage 200
  • Improve system processes, controls and data integrity
  • Manage imports, reconciliations and system documentation
  • Support upgrades, testing and process improvements

Deliver better reporting and insight

  • Build and enhance financial and operational reporting
  • Develop dashboards and automated reporting processes
  • Analyse revenue, margin, stock, subscriptions and operational performance
  • Work with large datasets to improve business insight and decision-making

Strengthen forecasting and cashflow reporting

  • Own the integrity of forecasting and cashflow models
  • Improve model structure, controls and documentation
  • Support scenario planning and financial analysis
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and Board-ready

Improve controls and compliance

  • Prepare and review VAT returns
  • Strengthen reconciliations and financial controls
  • Support audit preparation and finance governance
  • Improve data quality across finance and operational systems

Lead finance improvement projects

  • Reduce manual reporting and spreadsheet dependency
  • Improve finance processes and system integrations
  • Work across teams to deliver practical, scalable improvements

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
  • Strong practical accounting experience across month-end, balance-sheet control, VAT and financial reporting.
  • Strong hands-on finance systems experience, including ownership, administration or configuration of Sage 200 or a comparable ERP/accounting system.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Power Query and working with large datasets
  • Hands-on experience building, maintaining or improving forecasting and cash-flow models.
  • Strong reconciliation, financial control and data analysis skills
  • Experience preparing, reconciling and submitting UK VAT returns through Making Tax Digital.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Desirable

  • Power BI experience
  • Sage 200 administration and reporting
  • Experience with system integrations or finance transformation projects
  • Experience in a growing, data-rich or operationally complex business

You’ll thrive here if you are…

  • Analytical and naturally curious about how systems and data work
  • Commercially aware as well as technically strong
  • Comfortable challenging inefficient processes
  • Able to explain complex financial, systems and data issues clearly to non-finance colleagues.
  • Collaborative, organised and solutions-focused
  • Someone who enjoys building better ways of working

Why join Medichecks?

We’re a business that values innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. You’ll join a talented team of medics, engineers, designers and finance professionals who are genuinely passionate about improving people’s lives through better healthcare.

This role offers the opportunity to shape finance systems and reporting across a growing healthcare technology business, giving you real ownership, visibility and the chance to make a lasting impact.

If you’re excited by systems, data, reporting and building a stronger finance function, we’d love to hear from you.
