Application & Data Support

Location: Hybrid – Birmingham (3 days onsite at 22 Gas Street, Birmingham, B1 2JT and 2 days working from home + occasional addtional support onsite)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent


Your Role


As an Application & Data Support professional, you will play an important role in supporting our core business platforms, structured data and reporting processes. You will work across applications including SAP, Salesforce and Power BI, helping to ensure our business data is accurate, reliable and accessible.


You will investigate and resolve data and platform issues, support master data processes and create meaningful reporting and dashboards that enable better business decision-making. Working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, you will help translate operational requirements into practical solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.


The role will involve:

  • Supporting the service delivery of core business platforms, including SAP, Salesforce and data and reporting platforms such as SAP BW, Dataverse and Power BI.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting platform, data and reporting issues, escalating where appropriate and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Monitoring and managing incident and service request queues, ensuring issues are prioritised, resolved and appropriately documented.
  • Supporting master data activities, including customer, account, product, price list and reference data maintenance.
  • Maintaining accurate product and customer data records and supporting data pipelines using input from key business departments.
  • Supporting the maintenance, validation and controlled release of product and price list updates across relevant business platforms.
  • Working with structured data from SAP and related systems, supporting data extracts, validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Creating, maintaining and enhancing Power BI reports and dashboards that provide clear and actionable insight for business users.
  • Performing data quality checks, identifying anomalies and supporting corrective actions to improve data accuracy and integrity.
  • Supporting the controlled release of product, pricing and reporting changes, including validation, stakeholder sign-off and documentation.
  • Documenting data definitions, reporting logic, issue resolution steps and processes to support sustainable and repeatable ways of working.


Your Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Mid-level experience in an application, data, reporting or business systems support role.
  • Practical experience working with structured data, including data extracts, validation, reconciliation and data quality checks.
  • Experience creating, maintaining or supporting Power BI reports and dashboards for business users.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP platform, with the ability to support users, investigate issues and understand business transactions.
  • An understanding of master data processes, including customer, product, account, price list and reference data maintenance.
  • Experience supporting controlled data or system releases, including validation, stakeholder sign-off and change documentation.
  • Good Excel skills and confidence using data to investigate problems, identify trends and support decision-making.
  • The ability to clearly document requirements, reporting logic, issue resolution steps and process changes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders.


It would be desirable if you had:

  • Experience with SAP BW, Dataverse, Salesforce or other data and reporting platforms.
  • An understanding of ETL principles, data modelling or report performance optimisation.
  • Experience supporting data governance, data definitions or master data improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to business change, incident management or service request processes.
