Organisational Development Specialist

 

  • $124,535 per annum + 12% superannuation
  • Full time, ongoing
  • Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid work from home – 3 days a week in office)

 

 

About the opportunity

 

The Learning & Organisational Development team plays a critical role in enabling WorkSafe to achieve its purpose of reducing workplace harm and improving outcomes for injured workers. As part of the People & Culture Business Unit, the team partners across the organisation to strengthen leadership capability, culture, employee engagement and organisational performance..

 

As the Organisational Development Specialist, you'll contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of organisation-wide initiatives that enhance leadership capability, organisational culture, employee engagement and workforce performance. Working closely with Senior OD specialists, leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll provide specialist advice, manage key projects and use workforce insights to support meaningful organisational change and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Support the design, development and delivery of organisational development, culture and leadership initiatives across WorkSafe.
  • Manage and coordinate OD projects, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, procurement activities and vendor management.
  • Lead key components of employee listening programs, including the annual Employee Opinion Survey, data analysis, reporting and action planning.
  • Develop high-quality communications, resources, intranet content and engagement materials to support organisational development initiatives.
  • Analyse workforce insights, employee feedback and engagement data to identify trends, develop actionable recommendations and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Facilitate team workshops, leadership discussions and culture initiatives that strengthen organisational effectiveness and alignment to WorkSafe's values.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to support the successful implementation of organisational development programs and initiatives.

About you

 

You'll be a collaborative and proactive organisational development, human resource or people& culture professional who is passionate about strengthening culture, engagement and leadership capability. You bring strong project management skills, a data-informed mindset and the confidence to work with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.

 

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of organisational development, culture, engagement or leadership programs within a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience supporting or delivering employee engagement surveys and employee listening activities, including survey administration, analysis and reporting.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse workforce data, employee feedback and organisational insights to identify trends and develop recommendations.
  • Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, briefing papers, presentations and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with experience partnering with leaders and employees across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, focus groups or organisational development activities that support employee engagement, leadership capability and culture outcomes.

 

Qualifications – Desirable

 

  •  Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Psychology, Business, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
