We're looking for an experienced Insights Analyst to join our Personal Banking Risk team, where you'll play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that drive better business and customer outcomes.

Te Tūranga | The role

Reporting to the Head of Governance and Reporting, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality risk reporting, analytics, and data visualisation that support informed decision-making across the division. You'll use your analytical expertise to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and help shape a stronger risk culture through insight-led reporting.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Developing and enhancing dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions that provide meaningful risk insights.
  • Analysing large and complex datasets to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translating data into compelling stories through impactful visualisation and clear communication.
  • Designing and developing data models that improve understanding of the business's risk profile.
  • Championing best practices in data quality, governance, and reporting accuracy.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness, relevance, and timeliness of reporting.
  • Sharing knowledge and collaborating across the broader analytics community to drive best practice and innovation.

You'll be a naturally curious and commercially minded analyst who enjoys solving complex problems and using data to influence decisions.

You'll Bring

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar visualisation tools to build insightful dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • The ability to interpret, analyse, and present data in a way that creates clear business value.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Confidence presenting insights to a range of audiences.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, resilient, and resourceful approach to your work.
