Position:

BRS has an exciting opening for a Junior Data Analyst (M/F) to join its Paris office. This is an excellent opportunity for a willing and adaptable team player looking to build a career in data and analytics in one of the world’s most strategic and dynamic industries. You will collaborate with our research analysts and shipbrokers based across our global network and contribute to the development of the business.

Your mission and main responsibilities:

• Cleaning and verifying data and maintaining databases
• Producing / amending / creating reports
• Assisting in the preparation of client-focused shipping market research reports and presentations
• Developing, maintaining and improving tools for data input and statistical verification
• Support the work of Asset (newbuilding and sales and purchase) brokers and the Research department as required

Your profile:

• Graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, information technology, economics, shipping or related areas. Masters degree is desirable
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel
• Experience of Power Bi and other data visualization tools and programming languages such as Python desirable
• Excellent command of MS Office
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under time pressure
• Conscientious, very good eye for detail and quality control
• Strong communication skills
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English
