KinderCare is seeking a BI Data Analyst II to be the foundational member of our enterprise analytics practice, translating business questions into clear, credible analysis and helping KinderCare understand the value of its initiatives before, during, and after delivery. They will partner with at least one product manager or business leader, owning those relationships with guidance from the manager or Principal Analyst. They will build strong analytical habits from day one, including the disciplined definition of success metrics before evaluating results and a healthy skepticism toward conclusions that are not supported by evidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely in a fast-paced environment with corporate business partners to ensure they stay within budget and forecast
- Using analytics, understand and actively communicate underlying causes of variances as well as present variance analyses to senior staff in a simple, concise, and easy-to-consume format
- Appropriately challenge leaders throughout the organization to think strategically about the way they structure their teams and allocate resources in pursuit of organizational strategic priorities
- 2–3 years of analytical experience and foundational SQL skills; comfort working with real-world data: data that is messy, incomplete, and that requires judgment; possess curiosity about the business behind the data; ability to develop foundational instincts around measurement discipline, experimental thinking, and evidence-based decision making
- Ability to take ownership of relationships and work; possess a hunger to grow in an environment that rewards craft
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to interact with various levels of management and develop strong working relationships
- Willingness to explore how AI tools can accelerate and improve your analytical work; openness to integrating them into your day-to-day
