Data & Business Operations Analyst

The Data & Business Operations Analyst supports strategic and operational initiatives focused on improving efficiency, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement across Global Operations. This role leverages data analytics, Power BI, geospatial mapping, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and technology solutions to identify operational trends, uncover improvement opportunities, and develop data-driven recommendations. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze operational data, support network modeling and optimization initiatives, design and improve processes, develop dashboards and reporting solutions, and identify opportunities for automation. This role also supports the Strategic Operations Manager in the execution of strategic projects and initiatives within a global operations environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform network modeling and optimization analyses using geospatial mapping software, analytical tools, customer data, and internal network databases to identify opportunities related to facility locations, inventory, capacity, and overall network efficiency.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, patterns, root causes, risks, and opportunities that can improve operational performance and efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI and Smartsheet to monitor KPIs and support business decision-making.
• Translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for operational and business stakeholders.
• Support demand, capacity, and risk analysis through statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze data, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and accessibility.
• Identify, map, and design process improvement and automation opportunities using process mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and DMAIC methodologies.
• Support the development and implementation of automated solutions and process improvements in collaboration with business and technology teams.
• Develop and maintain Smartsheet applications and solutions to support operational processes and project management.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and initiatives, using data and KPIs to identify opportunities for further optimization.
• Support strategic and operational projects, including process design, service development, network optimization, and other initiatives led by the Strategic Operations team.
• Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to leverage technology platforms and ensure effective use of data and analytics solutions.
• Provide training, guidance, and analytical support to operational teams to promote data literacy and a data-driven culture.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Power BI and data visualization, including the ability to develop dashboards and communicate insights through data storytelling.
• Strong understanding of data analysis, data modeling, and analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and operational processes.
• Experience with process mapping, process design, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, or similar.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting change or improvement initiatives within complex business environments.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1).
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Familiarity with geospatial mapping tools and their application to network or operational analysis.
• Experience with DAX and advanced Power BI capabilities.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, RPA, automation, or AI tolos is preferred.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS or other geospatial mapping platforms is preferred.
• Experience developing solutions or applications using Smartsheet is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or formal training is preferred.
• Master's degree or specialization in a related field, completed or in progress is preferred.
