As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for modeling complex problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of business intelligence, data mining and visualization techniques. You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. The candidate should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present the insights in concise and effective manner. Additionally, the candidate should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences. This is a high impact role with goals that directly impacts the bottom line of the business.
Key job responsibilities
- Use analytics and data mining techniques to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.
- Employ the appropriate tools, methodologies to discover patterns of risks, abuse and help reduce bad debt
- Design experiments, test hypotheses, and build actionable models to optimize BRP operations
- Solve analytical problems, and effectively communicate methodologies and results
- Build analyses for product launches and operations and help predict workflow and capacity requirements for BRP operations
- Draw inferences and conclusions, and create dashboards and visualizations of processed data, identify trends, anomalies
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as business teams, engineering teams, and partner teams and align them with respect to your focus area
Pipeline Operations — Monitor and triage Datanet ETL jobs; resolve dependency timeouts, upstream delays, and schema drift; coordinate with data providers on blocked feeds; backfill data when logic changes.
Ad-Hoc Investigations — Query fraud/abuse signal tables for point-in-time analysis; investigate multi-account abuse patterns (linked accounts, ATO, concession leakage); decrypt/trace customer IDs across evaluation systems.
Dashboard & Reporting — Build/maintain QuickSight dashboards on Redshift aggregates for MAA metrics; add dimensions as needs evolve; validate metric definitions against production logic.
Business Reporting — Prepare WBR/QBR inputs (abuse BPS, goal tracking, forecasts); support goal-setting with prior-year reconciliation; generate ad-hoc regional/program splits.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with SQL
- English proficiency required (written and verbal)
- Experience with operations, risk, fraud investigations etc.
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience visualizing data in Tableau or other relevant data visualization software
- Experience with one of the following areas: machine learning technologies, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP) or related applications
- Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
- 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 7+ years of Amazon experience
- AWS Professional level certification, or 10+ years of IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role experience
