Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They provide clinical leadership, manage staffing, coordinate patient flow, and serve as a resource for clinical and operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign patients, monitor equipment, and plan resources to support care delivery.
- Conduct rounds to evaluate care quality, oversee the nursing process, and promote evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, facilitate communication, and support performance improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a professional and collaborative environment.
- Participate in unit management tasks such as scheduling, bed management, and protocol development.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and ethical practices.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and current certifications (BLS, etc.).
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; clinical leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare technology, teamwork, and decision-making.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and uphold professional nursing standards.
