As we continue to grow our digital business, we are looking for an experienced e-commerce professional to help drive the performance of our owned online business in Japan.



About the Role


As an Assistant E-Commerce Manager, you will support the growth and performance of ECCO Japan's online business by managing site operations, executing commercial initiatives, optimizing the customer journey, and generating actionable business insights. Working closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless online shopping experience and achieving our e-commerce growth ambitions.



Responsibilities


Drive Online Business Performance

  • Support the planning and execution of initiatives to achieve sales, traffic, conversion, and customer engagement targets.
  • Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve commercial results.
  • Coordinate e-commerce projects with regional and global teams.


Manage Website Operations

  • Oversee daily website operations, including content updates, promotions, merchandising, and product launches.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of campaigns and online trading activities.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Logistics, Merchandising, IT, and external partners to support end-to-end e-commerce operations.


Manage Traffic and Media Performance

  • Work with agency partners and internal stakeholders to optimize traffic acquisition activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
  • Support the execution of digital campaigns to drive qualified traffic and conversion.


Generate Insights and Recommendations

  • Analyze business performance, website metrics, customer behavior, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Produce regular reports and actionable recommendations using GA4, BI tools, and other analytics platforms.
  • Support data-driven decision-making across the e-commerce function.



Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, online trading, or related commercial functions.
  • Experience managing e-commerce operations and driving online business performance.
  • Experience working with agency partners and traffic acquisition channels.
  • Experience using web analytics and reporting tools to generate business insights.
  • Retail, fashion, footwear, lifestyle, or consumer goods industry experience is preferred.


Required Skills


  • Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and online trading.
  • Commercial mindset with a passion for driving business results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with GA4, Power BI, SEO, or related analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience in the retail, fashion, footwear, lifestyle, or consumer goods industry.
