Our Financial client is seeking a Content Strategist to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week.

This role is onsite 5 days a week in Milwaukee, WI.

Role Summary

The Content Strategist will lead the strategy, development, and execution of a high-growth content program focused on promoting and supporting the financial advisor career journey. This role is responsible for owning the content workstream end to end, including editorial strategy, content planning, creation, governance, publication, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller with strong editorial judgment, experience scaling content programs, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while leveraging AI-enabled content creation tools.

Top Must Have Skills
7-10+ years of experience in content strategy, content management, editorial, communications, or related fields.
Exceptional writing, editing, and editorial leadership skills with the ability to guide high-quality content development.
Proven experience building and executing content strategies, editorial calendars, and multi-channel content programs.
Proficiency using generative AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Writer, and other large language models to support content creation and optimization.
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills within highly regulated or governance-driven organizations.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with subject matter experts, compliance teams, creative teams, and business stakeholders.
Ability to develop both written and video content strategies and provide creative direction for content production.
Experience managing content within CMS platforms and publishing environments.

Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
Experience launching and scaling content programs from early-stage concepts to mature content ecosystems.
Demonstrated ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, including candidates, recruiters, and field teams.
Understanding of content performance metrics, reporting, and optimization strategies.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to editorial, compliance, and brand standards.
Adaptability and enthusiasm for evolving technologies, processes, and content development approaches.
Experience supporting recruitment marketing, thought leadership, employer branding, or talent attraction initiatives is preferred.
Familiarity with Drupal, iCIMS, or similar content management platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities
Own the strategy and execution of the advisor career content program, including editorial calendar development, topic selection, content formats, publishing cadence, and long-term roadmap.
Create, oversee, and optimize a high volume of written and video content while maintaining quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Identify compelling story opportunities and provide editorial direction throughout content development, review, and publication.
Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate content creation, research, ideation, editing, and production workflows while ensuring quality and compliance standards are maintained.
Build and maintain an accurate, balanced, and credible narrative around the financial advisor career across multiple channels and audiences.
Develop recruitment and field enablement materials, including email campaigns, social media content, one-page collateral, reprints, and other recruiting assets.
Create and execute candidate nurture content that supports engagement throughout the hiring process.
Design and launch a candidate newsletter program, including audience strategy, content planning, publishing cadence, and performance evaluation.
Manage content publishing and maintenance across multiple platforms, including Drupal CMS and iCIMS.
Partner with subject matter experts to identify content opportunities and validate content accuracy.
Coordinate with compliance, legal, proofing, and review teams to ensure regulatory, editorial, and brand standards are met.
Collaborate with designers and creative partners to develop visual assets and establish creative direction for video content production.
Track, analyze, and report on content performance, using insights to improve reach, engagement, effectiveness, and business impact.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines, stakeholder expectations, and publishing schedules are met.
Support broader thought leadership, content strategy, and communications initiatives as needed.
Continuously evaluate emerging content technologies, AI capabilities, and industry trends to improve content processes and outcomes.
