We’re hiring for Category Marketing Manager in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Your Challenge
- Analyze various market segments, grower insights, product feedback and competitive dynamics to identify market trends, threats or new business opportunities and reflecting customer needs.
- Develop and implement product strategies, scheduling projects, price developments, and licensing-in opportunities over the lifecycle of the assigned portfolio in close relationship with European Product Managers and in accordance with regional business strategies
- Lead cross functional Local Product Concept Teams to define new project requirements, to build business case, to describe strategic priorities, define product attributes, to design value proposition and create sales argumentation.
- Define product prices based on regional guidance, market research and anticipated demand
- Provide annual marketing plans for the given products and monitors them, track performance of products versus plan (prices and volumes vs PO, project stage reviews), investigate significant deviations, and recommend corrective action as necessary
- Lead, coach, and develop the regional Technical Managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives, portfolio priorities, and market needs.
- Represent Vylor at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and professional forums to strengthen brand visibility, build relationships, and gather market intelligence.
- Organize and deliver product training programs for internal teams, distributors, and customers, ensuring strong product knowledge and effective market positioning.
- Manage country-level seed trials and portfolio farms, overseeing planning, execution, evaluation, and communication of trial results to support product development and commercialization decisions.
- Act as Vylor's representative with key customers, strategic accounts, and industry stakeholders, building long-term partnerships and supporting business growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Agronomy, and Marketing teams to translate technical and market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- Ensure effective communication of portfolio performance, trial outcomes, and market developments to internal and external stakeholders.
- Internal: Agronomists, Sales Representative, Country Leader, Sales Leader, Program and Portfolio Leaders, Training and Development Teams, Peers in other CU's, Country / Sales Management, Market Research Focal Point and Commercial Excellence Organization, R&D Teams, Demand Manager, Zonal Platform Leader, Regional Marketing and Regional Technical Managers.
- External: Leading Farmer, Key Customers and Strategic Accounts, Key Institute, Industry Associations and Grower Organizations, Key Business Partners, Channel Partners and Distributors, Purchasing Group, Agricultural Event Organizers, Research Institute and Universities.
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy or Agricultural Sciences
- Previous experience in an agricultural company is preferred, ideally within the sector, bringing expertise in plant nutrition, fertilizers, biologicals and product development
- Expertise in portfolio management, including product positioning, market analysis, and regulatory considerations is considered a plus
- Skilled in evaluating performance data using a statistical approach to optimize portfolio strategy and support decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills
- Business Proficiency in English
- Effective use of computers and MS Office (Good knowledge of MS Excel)
- Flexibility for travelling within the country
