Position Summary
Senior-most L1 and shift anchor for the NOC/DMT pod. Owns P1/P2 first response and bridge coordination, executes complex changes with L2 oversight, and drives the preventive-maintenance calendar for the network estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as shift anchor: own P1/P2 first response, open and run technical bridges until L2 engagement.
- Execute complex changes (fabric node additions, FTD policy pushes) with L2 oversight.
- Drive preventive maintenance: firmware currency, EOL/EOS tracking, spare posture.
- Quality-gate tickets, handovers and runbook adherence across the pod; mentor juniors.
- Coordinate with the SOC anchor on security-relevant network events.
- Own facility-alert response coordination with data-center operations (Aravolta feed).
- BE/BTech (CS/IT/E&TC) or equivalent.
- 4–6 years network operations in data-center environments.
- Strong hands-on Junos and/or Cisco FTD; incident bridge experience.
- Out-of-band management proficiency; disciplined change execution.
- Mentoring aptitude for the junior bench.
- JNCIS-DC/CCNP; automation exposure (Python/Ansible).
- AI/HPC or hyperscale data-center fabric exposure.
- GKE cluster networking exposure (VPC-native, LoadBalancer/Gateway) and NetworkPolicy troubleshooting.
- Working understanding of Kubernetes networking — CNI (Cilium), Services/Ingress and east-west flows — to troubleshoot fabric-to-GKE connectivity end to end.
