Position Summary

Circles of Care, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead Harbor Pines our 50-bed Inpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and administrative operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and behavioral health crises.

This role provides leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff while promoting a therapeutic, safe, and recovery-focused environment. The Nurse Manager works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in behavioral health care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and clinical oversight for the nursing staff within the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
  • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health crises.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing staff to promote professional development and high performance.
  • Monitor and ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, audits, and quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and other treatment team members to coordinate care.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards for behavioral health facilities.
  • Assist in staff recruitment, orientation, training, and competency evaluations.
  • Address staff concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive team culture.
  • Respond to patient and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida (or eligible for licensure).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working in crisis stabilization, inpatient psychiatry, or acute behavioral health settings strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage high-acuity psychiatric populations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, quality improvement, and risk management in behavioral health.
