This position blends clinical evaluation with creative programming. You will be the driving force behind our dementia training, therapeutic program development, and individualized resident service plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Neighborhood Oversight: Manage daily clinical flow and care quality for a 16-unit memory care community.
- Programming & Training: Design, implement, and oversee specialized dementia care programming; lead and train staff on dementia best practices and behavioral interventions.
- Assessments & Service Plans: Evaluate new and current residents to develop, update, and implement comprehensive, individualized service plans.
- Collaboration: Serve as the core communicator between residents, families, medical partners, and care teams.
- Support risk management operations for assisted living and memory care residents.
- License: Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of Iowa.
- Experience: Deep understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and related memory disorders (prior experience in a memory care setting strongly preferred).
- Core Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, clinical evaluation capabilities, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Mindset: A patient, empathetic, and solutions-oriented approach to memory care.
