The eCommerce Marketing Manager – workwear is responsible for owning and driving the digital marketing strategy and execution to deliver profitable growth across direct-to-consumer channels.
This role plays a critical part in scaling Helly Hansen Workwear’s digital business by:
- Driving qualified traffic, customer acquisition, and conversion
- Optimizing marketing efficiency and return on investment
- Ensuring full alignment between marketing, eCommerce, and product strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Commercial Ownership
- Define and own the digital marketing strategy for Workwear eCommerce, aligned to business growth and margin targets
- Translate strategy into clear channel plans and prioritization across markets
- Ensure marketing activity supports full-price sell-through and premium brand positioning
- Identify growth opportunities across new audiences, channels, and markets
- Performance Marketing & Execution
- Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across:
- Paid search (Google, Bing)
- Paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Display and retargeting
- Affiliates and partnerships
- Drive continuous improvement in key performance metrics (ROAS, CAC, conversion rate)
- Apply a test-and-learn approach to scale effective campaigns
- Commercial Performance & Analytics
- Own reporting and performance analysis across all digital marketing channels
- Translate data into clear actions and optimizations
- Monitor and improve key KPIs:
- Revenue contribution
- Customer acquisition cost (CAC)
- Return on ad spend (ROAS)
- Conversion rate
- Identify gaps across the funnel impacting traffic quality, engagement, and conversion
- Customer Journey & Conversion Optimization
- Partner with eCommerce and UX teams to improve end-to-end funnel performance
- Develop and optimize landing pages and campaign journeys
- Ensure alignment between traffic acquisition and on-site experience
- Cross-functional Leadership
- Act as the key marketing counterpart to eCommerce, merchandising, and product teams
- Collaborate with:
- eCommerce (conversion, trading, commercial priorities)
- Product (assortment focus, product storytelling)
- Brand marketing (campaign alignment and creative direction)
- Ensure integrated planning across campaigns, content, and trading calendar
- Content & Creative Direction
- Partner with internal teams and agencies to develop best-in-class, digital-first content
- Ensure content is optimized for performance across platforms and channels
- Align messaging with product benefits, technical storytelling, and target audiences
- Budget Management & Efficiency
- Own and manage the Workwear digital marketing budget
- Continuously optimize spend to maximize ROI and contribution margin
- Balance short-term performance with long-term growth investments
- Agency & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with media agencies, platforms, and external partners
- Ensure delivery against performance targets and best-in-class execution standards
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement across partners
- Revenue driven through digital marketing

- Traffic quality and growth
- Marketing contribution to sell-through
- 4–6+ years experience in digital / performance marketing within eCommerce or multi-channel retail
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth through performance marketing
- Hands-on experience across search, social, and display platforms
- Strong commercial mindset with focus on revenue and profitability
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in tools such as Google Analytics / GA4
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Structured, data-driven, and highly results-oriented
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience working in international or matrix organizations is an advantage
- Familiarity with B2B or workwear audiences is a plus
- Fluent in English
