About the Role
Charity Fund “Voice of Generations” (VOG) is seeking a Communication Manager to support the organization’s humanitarian and development programs.
The position is based in Odesa, Ukraine, with possible travel to Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts. The Communication Manager will be responsible for organizational and project communications, donor visibility, social media management, content production, and external communications.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement communication plans in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
• Manage VOG’s official social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Prepare, edit and publish posts, news updates, announcements and informational materials.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar.
• Produce high-quality photo and video content during project activities.
• Prepare short videos, interviews and beneficiary success stories while respecting confidentiality and informed consent principles.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and donor branding and visibility requirements, including correct use of logos.
• Coordinate the preparation of banners, posters, flyers, presentations, information boards and other communication materials.
• Prepare communication materials for donor reports, presentations and partner meetings.
• Support dissemination of project results among communities, partners and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain a positive and professional image of the organization in external communications.
• Ensure ethical communication, responsible use of personal data and application of “Do No Harm” principles.
Qualifications and Experience
• University degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in communications, PR, media or project information management.
• Previous experience with NGOs, humanitarian organizations or international development projects is an asset.
• Practical experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
• Experience with photography, video production and basic graphic design/editing tools.
• Understanding of humanitarian communication principles, donor visibility requirements and ethical storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in Ukrainian; knowledge of English is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity and ability to work independently.
Contract Details
- Duty Station: Odesa, Ukraine
- Employment Type: Part-time
- Contract Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months, subject to funding availability and performance
- Possible travel to Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts
