Job Title: QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer

Location: Noida (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing to join our team in Noida. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of applications across client engagements, working closely with developers, product owners, project managers, and client stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and identify gaps or ambiguities.
  • Create and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
  • Build and maintain reliable and reusable automation test suites.
  • Perform API testing using Postman and API automation using tools such as REST Assured, Requests, Playwright API, or equivalent.
  • Perform cross-browser and responsive testing across different devices and environments.
  • Perform database validation using SQL queries, joins, and data integrity checks.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira.
  • Work with developers to investigate issues, verify fixes, and drive defects to closure.
  • Perform smoke and regression testing during application releases and post-deployment validation.
  • Monitor and report on test execution, coverage, defects, risks, and overall quality status.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and client teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage, frameworks, and reusable QA assets.



Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • 5–6 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
  • Strong experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
  • Strong understanding of STLC, Defect Life Cycle, Test Design Techniques, Severity vs. Priority, Entry/Exit Criteria, and Risk-based Testing.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Good programming knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with API Testing and Postman.
  • Experience with API automation using REST Assured, Requests, Playwright API, or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of SQL, including joins and data validation.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test management.
  • Familiarity with Xray, Zephyr Scale, TestRail, qTest, or similar test management tools.
  • Experience with Git/version control.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and sprint-based delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating testing status, defects, risks, and quality concerns with client-facing stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Performance testing experience using JMeter or k6.
  • BDD experience with Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave.
  • Mobile automation experience with Appium.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS/Azure and Docker.
  • Experience with Confluence and Atlassian-based delivery environments.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification.
