About The Role
As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials that support our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to manage purchase orders, maintain inventory levels, resolve supply issues, and support engineering changes while contributing to the overall efficiency and continuity of the business.
Key Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you'll be responsible for:
- Place purchase orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production requirements.
- Monitor material shortages, expedite deliveries when needed, and maintain appropriate inventory coverage.
- Resolve purchase order discrepancies, including hold invoices, while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Manage material planning activities including pull-in, push-out, cancellation reports, and inventory control.
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), New Product Introduction (NPI), and Phase In/Phase Out projects to ensure a smooth supply transition.
As a Minimum You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience using SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Experience managing purchase orders and working with domestic and international suppliers.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Phase In/Phase Out processes.
- Experience with inventory management and shortage mitigation in a manufacturing environment.
