About The Role
As a Manager, Accounting & Controllership, you will lead critical accounting and financial reporting activities that support Carrier’s business operations and strategic objectives. In this role, you will ensure compliance with statutory and US GAAP requirements, maintain a strong internal control environment, and provide valuable financial guidance to business partners. You will also have the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall financial success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, Accounting & Controllership, you'll be responsible for:
- Participate in the month-end closing process for ALC Field Operations
- Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for ALC Field Operations
- Support POC accounting functions, and other complex estimates/calculations
- Provide CFIN support and prepare financial data (including HFM supplemental data)
- Provide balance sheet fluctuation analyses
- Maintain accounting & SOX (level 2) standard work documentation (GAP Assessment, etc.) and internal/external audits
- Maintain a strong internal controls environment
- Special ad-hoc projects as assigned
As a Minimum You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition and capitalization accounting.
- Strong understanding of statutory reporting and US GAAP requirements.
- Experience supporting financial reporting, controllership, and compliance activities.
- Prior people management experience leading on-site and remote teams.
- Experience driving process improvement and financial transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to multinational or shared services environments.
- Experience supporting corporate reporting and CFIN-related projects.
- Professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
