Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Business Applications team supporting a portfolio of more than 100 internally developed applications built on OutSystems (Low Code) and .NET technologies. These applications support critical business functions across finance, accounting, pricing, operations, safety, reporting, and enterprise services.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented QA professional who thrives in Agile environments while remaining flexible enough to support varying team structures, priorities, and operational demands. This role requires balancing project-based testing, production support validation, release readiness, regression testing, and continuous quality improvement across multiple application domains. The QA Engineer serves as a quality advocate throughout the SDLC and helps ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and business applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Validate enhancements, bug fixes, technical debt remediation, and production support changes.
• Ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements including usability, reliability, and data integrity.
• Participate in release readiness reviews and provide go/no-go recommendations based on quality metrics and testing outcomes.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects through resolution.

Agile Team Participation

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Team Leads, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Engage early in solution design discussions to identify risks, testing considerations, and quality concerns before development begins.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across testing practices and team processes.

Production Support & Operational Quality

• Validate production fixes and hotfixes in support of operational needs.
• Assist with root cause analysis and defect trend identification.
• Support multiple work streams simultaneously, including project initiatives, maintenance work, and production support activities.
• Help maintain quality standards across a broad and diverse application landscape.

Test Automation (Preferred)

• Develop and maintain automated test assets where appropriate.
• Evaluate opportunities to reduce manual testing effort through automation.
• Contribute to automation strategy for web and low-code applications.
• Support automated regression testing initiatives and CI/CD quality gates.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or a related role.
• Experience testing web-based business applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycles, and QA best practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across projects, enhancements, and support activities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Value but not Mandatory)

• Experience testing OutSystems applications (OS11 and/or ODC).
• Experience testing .NET Framework or .NET Core applications.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete, Katalon, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Mocha, Jasmine, or equivalent.
• Experience validating REST APIs and integrations.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Azure-based application environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise business systems across finance, accounting, operations, or reporting domains.

• Contribute to the expansion of automated testing capabilities.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively support both project and operational workloads across multiple application areas.
