Company Description
Mayfly Outdoors is the steward of some of the most iconic brands in fly fishing, including Ross Reels, Abel Reels, Airflo, Airlite, Renzetti, Dyna-King, and C-Tech Fly Fishing Gear. We are trusted by anglers around the world for craftsmanship that honors the water.
Where Precision Meets Chemistry
At Mayfly Outdoors, every finished part that makes it into an angler's hands has been through a process where nothing is left to chance. For some of our products an important process runs through our anodizing line, and we're looking for an Anodizer who takes it just as seriously as we do.
This is hands-on, detail-driven work. You'll be moving parts through a carefully controlled sequence of chemical baths, testing and adjusting chemical levels, and making sure every rack, every color, and every finish hits the mark. If you're the type of person who follows a recipe exactly, watches the clock, and double-checks your work without being asked, you'll fit right in here.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processing production parts through the anodizing line, timing and sequencing each step precisely
- Handling chemicals with proper safety precautions, every time, no exceptions
- Performing titrations and testing to keep chemical levels within spec
- Following exact product recipes for cleaning, etching, and rinsing, in the correct order
- Selecting the right holding racks for size, shape, and volume of parts
- Moving racks carefully between process tanks to avoid cross-contamination
- Inspecting anodized parts for defects such as air bubbles or uneven finish
- Running quality checks throughout the process, not just at the end
- Keeping the work area clean and free of hazardous conditions
- Immediately reporting and addressing any spills or mishaps per safety protocols
- Operating forklifts, hoists, and hand/power tools safely and correctly
- Transporting goods between buildings and completing daily work in our ERP system
- Assisting elsewhere in Production when business needs arise
What You Bring
- A detail-oriented mindset — in this role, small misses have real consequences
- Strong timeline awareness; each step in the process depends on timing done right
- Respect for safety protocols around hazardous chemicals, without shortcuts
- Comfort working with your hands and staying on your feet through a shift
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Anodizing experience is a plus, but not required — we'll train the right person
- Why Mayfly Outdoors?
- Steady, full-time schedule
- Hands-on training in a specialized skill
- A team that values safety, quality, and getting it right
- A front-row seat to how quality gear actually gets made
Full-Time Position
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (schedule may shift based on business needs)
Pay: $17.00 - $19.50/hourly
