Your role as a Quality Assurance Analyst
We are hiring a QA based in Porto that specialises in Cypress and Pest4 (Playwright) that will be responsible for our automation strategies and testing frameworks whilst ensuring the software quality for all of our applications, identifying bugs, verify that application features work and help improve the overall user experience by testing functionality, performance and usability.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies focused on automation, test plans, cases and scripts.
- Build and maintain scalable, efficient testing frameworks using Cypress and Playwright/Pest4 for front-end and back-end services.
- Identify, document and triage bugs; define quality metrics and coverage, track defects and update on release.
- Contribute to the continued improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
- Support release testing and provide quality reports before deployment.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve product quality.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress.
- Proficiency in modern testing frameworks such as Playwright or PEST.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience testing REST APIs.
- Typically 3–5 years of QA experience.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level are beneficial
- Analytical and proactive, with a full understanding of the development life cycle.
- Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English is essential
